The role involves supporting the manufacturing and process engineering team with a focus on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with experience in cross-functional management and a strong understanding of the automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality landscape.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis of quality issues using advanced problem-solving tools.
- Recommend and implement cost-effective permanent corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators.
- Manage engineering changes with a cross-functional team to ensure timely execution.
- Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation.
- Serve as the point of contact for engineering quality and all product-related incidents.
- Ensure delivery of third-party quality metrics and provide creative thinking to data analysis.
- Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment.
- Establish partnerships both internally and externally and influence without direct authority.
- Commit to delivering a premier product to the consumer and represent the Voice of the Customer to platform teams.
Mandatory Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required.
