About the role
We are seeking an analytical and detail oriented Demand Planner to join our Logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand, analyzing trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. Experience with SAP Business ByDesign is essential, as you will leverage this ERP system to streamline planning processes, generate reports, and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business insights.
- Use SAP ByDesign to manage and monitor forecast inputs, inventory levels, and production planning.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans as needed to improve service levels and minimize inventory costs.
- Identify and analyze root causes of forecast errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards in SAP ByDesign for internal stakeholders.
- Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Manage and maintain master data related to demand planning within SAP ByDesign.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives related to planning tools and processes.
- Management of the 12-18 month replenishment plan.
- Review of previously validated replenishments with your subsidiary to identify inventory risks.
- Participation in the financial review plan, which will assess business risks and opportunities related to the replenishment plan.
- Preparation and facilitation of the S&OP meeting with the various departments to validate the final demand and replenishment plan. Submission of the latter to the S&OP Group for consolidation.
Role - Specific Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail industries.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting methodsand software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamicenvironment and managemultiple priorities.
- Highly organized and flexible, with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical plans and knowledge of materials.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Desired Background and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business ByDesign.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and demand planning tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of S&OP processes and best practices.
