JOB DESCRIPTION
The Product Manager is responsible for product marketing of a specific jewelry collection, building and executing the vision and strategy set with the Director. This involves creating product roadmaps aligned with brand strategy, annual calendar, business objectives, and regional insights, and managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch. Mentors Specialists in coordinating product development. Defines product positioning for 360 activation and collaboration.
Location: This is an in-person position, 4 days a week, at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.
Key Accountabilities
Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap Execution
- Executes & refines multi-year product roadmaps aligned with brand strategy and annual calendar, based on direction from the Director.
- Conducts market and competitive analysis within the assigned product collection.
- Identifies market opportunities within the assigned product Collection and translates them into actionable product strategies.
- Defines the target customer and develops compelling naming/product positioning/story-telling.
- Monitors industry trends to inform product development and Marketing strategies.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Sales Merchandising, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and successful execution of product plans.
- Develops financial forecasts for the assigned product collection that align with company objectives, with Sales Merchandising and demand planning.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Manages the day-to-day product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond, to ensure product sustainability (within the bounds provided by the Director).
- Oversees all stages of product development: ideation, prototyping, design, demand planning, sourcing, production, packaging, and launch; ensures quality and cost effectiveness are considered at all stages.
- Manages key project milestones and builds comprehensive design briefs with clear product specifications, target costs and market requirements.
- Manages the collection’s product portfolio (active / T/E Flags), leads pricing strategies in line with the Directors vision, and monitors product performance.
- Defines the pricing strategy, based on internal mapping coherence and external competitiveness.
- Analyzes sales data, consumer feedback, and industry best practices to provide recommendations on product assortment and lifecycle, and works with Sales Merchandising and regional teams to identify opportunities for localized assortments.
360 Activation & Collaboration
- In charge of defining the 360 brief for all new product launches, inclusive of training content, and sales targets, in collaboration with Sales Merchandising.
- Owns the Product 360 Activation & Collaboration - and in this way, defines product positioning, oversees local execution of global plans with Sales Merchandising.
- Oversees the creation of compelling product names, stories and content that resonates with target audiences.
- Collaborates with Communications Marketing team, PR and Omni teams to generate excitement and buzz around new product launches.
- Oversees local execution of global plans with Sales & Communications Marketing teams, and provides support and training to regions for newness
Leadership and Team Management
- Mentors Specialists responsible for coordinating product development and managing the product portfolio on a day-to-day basis.
- Provides guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster their professional growth and development.
- Promotes a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7/8+ years of experience in Product & Marketing, preferably in the luxury goods or jewelry industry, with an expertise on building 360 activations.
- A passion for jewelry and the luxury goods industry. Strong understanding of jewelry design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated curiosity, entrepreneurial and creative flair.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
The hiring range for this position ranges from $122,485 - $172,920. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
