A Global Marketing team seeks a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager (Contractor). In this “Product Manager” role, you will be responsible for new product development, and category management. This includes owning key brand strategies and expansion plans, amplifying new product launches, and partnering with cross-functional and local marketing teams for new launches and ongoing business. This role is highly global, requiring frequent communication with key markets and cross-functional teams on what is working and what needs to be further optimized. It requires a deep understanding of hair care market dynamics and insight into what’s next via observing beauty and lifestyle trends.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the competitive landscape and market, customer, category, product, pricing, and channel trends, identify growth opportunities, and translate trends and consumer knowledge into meaningful insights.
- Drive new launches in all stages from concept to on-counter by orchestrating the development process: write the project brief, update piloting tools (Magellan, Tag, Opera, etc.), and follow up on the operational topics working closely with R&D and development teams.
- Write marketing mix recommendations (IMC/360/Digital/Retail) for product launches or pillar-product renovations to create an integrated, engaging, consistent consumer brand experience.
- Communicate and distribute global social and channel strategy to local markets
- Exchange constantly with the zones and strategic countries, support them during product launches and ensure follow-up of go-to-market
- Monitor the execution of the communication and pricing plan by local marketing teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in product development & brand management in beauty industry
- Conceptual thinker, able to translate diverse technical and trend inspiration into consumer-relevant storytelling and claims.
- Strong skills in tactile/aesthetic evaluation of cosmetic products as well as the ability to communicate product understanding.
- Advanced analytics capability of interpreting market and consumer data
- Entrepreneur spirit and strong ownership of the brand and business
- Well-organized and self-motivated; action- and results-oriented with demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
