Role Overview
Lead and develop the manufacturing engineering function for a high-volume production site. You will build and execute engineering plans that improve quality, throughput, yield, and cost while ensuring compliance with operational procedures and safety standards. This role combines technical leadership, capital planning, process improvement, and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the plant’s manufacturing engineering roadmap and translate strategy into executable projects.
• Manage capital planning for production equipment and facility systems, including budgeting, prioritization, and lifecycle
replacement.
• Design and implement process improvements to raise yield, lower costs, and increase throughput.
• Establish and maintain technical controls, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety documentation.
• Lead cross functional projects with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure smooth production
transitions and sustained performance.
• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for customers during transitions, launches, and escalations.
• Deploy engineering metrics and standardization across the site to measure performance and drive accountability.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the engineering team; build succession plans and provide regular feedback and development
opportunities.
• Manage vendor relationships for equipment and tooling, including specification, procurement, installation, and acceptance
testing.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum seven years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, or production
operations.
• Strong background in capital equipment planning, process optimization, and technical documentation.
• Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and manage complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills and experience interfacing with customers and suppliers.
• Demonstrated people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Comfortable using data and metrics to guide decisions and improvements.
