Position Overview
The Division Operations Manager will lead the project management and production functions of our modular shipping container construction division. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination between project execution, production, and client requirements. The Division Operations Manager will play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and profitability while maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of modular container construction projects from inception through completion
- Lead production activities, including scheduling, workflow management, quality control, and safety compliance
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize output
- Work with CFO and CEO to develop and manage P &L for division
Project Management
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage & execute, change orders and project documentation
Team Management
- Supervise and mentor production leaders and support staff
- Work with our Engineering and Procurement centralized teams (based in our South Carolina Headquarters) to support all projects
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure workforce training, development, and compliance with company policies and safety standards
Customer & Stakeholder Relations
- Act as a key liaison with clients and other departments, ensuring project requirements are understood and met
Process & Performance Improvement
- Develop and monitor KPIs to track production efficiency, project success, and customer satisfaction
- Identify bottlenecks and implement lean practices to improve entire project lifecycle
- Support innovation and adoption of new technologies in modular container construction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in modular construction, container fabrication, prefabrication, or related industry, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of modular/container-based construction methods, codes, and production processes
- Proven experience in project management, operations oversight, and production scheduling
- Proficiency in project management and familiarity with ERP/MRP software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and cost controls
