Position Summary
The Plant Manager oversees all daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including production, safety, quality, logistics, and maintenance. This person is a hands-on leader responsible for managing people, improving processes, and ensuring that production goals align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will combine operational discipline with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a growing team in a high-demand environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and logistics.
- Ensure all products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily plant schedules to meet customer deadlines and optimize workflow.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork at all levels.
- Manage staffing levels, training, and employee performance to build a strong, capable team.
- Monitor and control operating costs, efficiency, and productivity metrics.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with corporate leadership to establish short- and long-term operational goals.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, material flow, and quality consistency.
- Ensure compliance with all company, environmental, and safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility that reflects a commitment to quality.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, production management, or industrial operations.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality control.
- Working knowledge of metrics tracking, cost control, and process improvement.
Preferred:
- Experience in metal fabrication, roll forming, or steel framing manufacturing.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Operations, or Engineering.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
