POSITION TITLE: Extracts and Cartridge Supervisor
POSITION STATUS: Hourly- Full Time
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:45pm
Responsibilities of the Extracts and Cartridge Supervisor includes approving standard methods and procedures related to the overseeing daily operations, planning, organizing, production, processing, packaging, labeling and storage of cannabis as they relate to Quality and good manufacturing practices. The Extracts and Cartridge Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for assisting in the distribution of all Extracts and Cartridge to each department. They act as a link between manufacturing and the farm. Working in tandem with the Production Manager, Farm Lab and Head of Manufacturing to ensure the proper strains are flowing through to the corresponding brand form factors and packaging.
Core Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Constant communication with Production Manager, Head of Manufacturing, and Farm Lab to monitor supply chain pipeline
- Plan, organize, set up, direct and coordinate all activities for workers in department
- Ensure all department products are being stored properly to maintain integrity and management of distribution deadlines
- Create and maintain production/efficiency reports
- Plan and organize cannabis concentrate packaging schedules, ensure proper quality control and compliance.
- Assist with weekly production plan
- Work with Production Manager and Head of Manufacturing to implement new processes/process improvements
- Evaluate performance of personnel (quality inspectors, quotas, workers etc.)
- Collaboration with Production Manager and HOM to ensure each department produces proper quantities of skus and brands (KPI’s)
- Work in tandem with Production Manger, HOM, Wholesale and Retail department heads to ensure quantities, strain and brand diversity are being met
- Maintain accurate records of all materials related to quality inspection including but not limited to batch records and inspection results
- Assess projects and determine necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc).
- Ensure production requirements are analyzed, and work is assigned based upon the capacity to achieve production schedule and departmental objectives.
- Supervise Extracts and Cartridge Production Technicians (PT) during the execution of their duties
- Ensure all team members are adhering to all Company Policies and State Regulations
- Provide other departments with production completion forecasts monthly.
- Develop daily, weekly and monthly plans.
- Oversee and direct department cleanliness, sanitation, and order.
- Understand and adhere to organizational and department policies and procedures.
- Act as a backup for the department when Production Manager is out of office
- Work cohesively, professionally, and effectively with fellow co-workers
- Ensure successful team development through leadership, proper orientation and relevant training methods.
- Report conflicts in a timely manner to Production Manager and assist Leadership and HR as needed and required.
- Participate actively in department team and all-staff meetings.
- Ensure the department is wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Assist with investigating all adverse events, errors and complaints; document investigations and determine the root cause.
- Remain flexible and adaptable in adjusting to changing project needs in evolving situations.

Qualifications & Education
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check to get a facility agent card
- Previous experience and extensive knowledge in cannabis is required
- Previous management or supervisor experience required
- Associate’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience in cannabis, food service, and management required
- Critical thinker
- Detail oriented
- Must be able to follow state regulations and company policies
- Advanced skills with computers and MS Office Suite
Physical Requirements
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands with repetitive motions
- Frequently requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials
- Frequently stooping, bending, and reaching
- Must work indoors and outdoors year-round
- Must work in noisy and crowded environments
- Observe, see, hear, and respond to directions given with effective outcome
- Lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary
- Crouch & bend often throughout
- Stand for short / long periods of time
- Sit for short / long periods of time
- Walk for short / long periods of time
- Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level
- Frequent use of hands doing all sorts of repetitious motions
- Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position
- Must be able to use all PPE equipment for each department
- Must be able to do physical labor in all types of environments such as the airconditioned rooms within the facility as well as the heat of the greenhouse which can be over 100 degrees with high humidity
