Role: Director of Operations | Multi-Site Construction Supply & Manufacturing

We’re representing a leading player in the construction materials and manufacturing space that’s seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee and optimize its day-to-day operations across Texas.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven professional to make a tangible impact—leading teams across inventory control, dispatch, service centers, fabrication/production, and branch operations, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple facilities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and top-tier customer service.
- Mentor and develop departmental leaders, driving performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Oversee productivity and quality across all operational departments, implementing best practices in process improvement (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service teams to support customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Manage safety initiatives, facility maintenance, fleet and equipment management, and vendor relationships.
- Lead weekly leadership meetings and conduct regular one-to-ones with departmental managers.
- Participate in annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
- Drive innovation and compliance through industry awareness and continuous improvement.
What They’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within construction materials, fabrication, distribution, or manufacturing industries.
- Proven success managing multi-location operations with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Strong systems thinker with a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement (Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma preferred).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a “servant leader” mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly valued.
