On behalf of our client, a $600M privately-held manufacturer, we are seeking an entrepreneurial minded leader to lead diversification strategies and business growth in new industrial / manufacturing sectors. This individual will identify and develop new revenue-generating opportunities, lead go-to-market strategies, cultivate customer and industry relationships, and align new business with the broader enterprise operations. Operational oversight will increase as new business is established. They will also lead or support new ventures related to greenfield initiatives, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing business leadership, including operational and financial oversight, and have a demonstrated history of building new business and customer relationships. Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning Leadership: work closely with the c-suite, business unit leadership, and advisory board to develop and carry out strategic plans related to new business growth, customer relationships, and long-term growth & diversification.
- Operational Oversight: gain familiarity with scope and capacity of existing operations and identify opportunities to expand or improve efficiencies.
- Diversification & Growth: Develop and execute strategies to enter and grow into new markets, fousing on manufacturing / industrial.
- Market & Relationship Development: Build and cultivate strategic partnerships and customer relationships within targeted verticals.
- Enterprise Initiatives: Lead or support new ventures, including Greenfield initiatives, joint ventures, and acquisitions, with a long-term ownership mindset.
Professional Experience
- 20 years career experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity, ideally in a privately-held business less than $1B in annual revenue.
- Operational and financial oversight: at least 5 years of Profit & Loss ownership in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success leading strategic diversification and growth in manufacturing or advanced industrial sectors
- Comfortable working directly with customers/clients in a relationship building and/or new business development capacity.
