Director of Plant Operations – Full-Time, On-Site
We’re seeking a seasoned Plant Manager/Director to lead all aspects of plant operations, including manufacturing, maintenance, sanitation, and shipping/receiving. This role is hands-on and strategic, focused on driving excellence in production, quality, safety, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute short- and long-term production plans.
- Oversee plant staff; coach and develop a high-performing team.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and quality.
- Monitor equipment and resource needs to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to drive results and solve problems.
- Guide technical projects and new equipment or line implementations.
- Establish KPIs and adjust operations as needed to meet goals.
- Manage departmental budgets and prepare cost forecasts.
- Drive hiring, performance management, and team development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years’ experience in food manufacturing, especially frozen or USDA-regulated environments.
- Experience with frozen Mexican or Asian handheld food products is a plus.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) and familiarity with M3, EAM, or Red Zone are bonuses.
