Job Descriptions
Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians as well as providing all required documentation on requisition.
Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
Ensures proper safety procedures are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
Associates Degree in Science in Radiologic Technology
New York license as Radiologic Technologist or elgible.
Obtain CPR Certification within first three months of hire.

Work Environment
- Work is performed in the department which consists of many rooms. These rooms are air conditioned as well as heated, areas are occasionally subject to fumes. Work may also be done portable in patient rooms, operating rooms or Emergency Department. Delivery of services to patients is through the use of radiation to produce images for physician readings.
