Insight Global is seeking a General Manager for one of our clients in Romulus, MI. Each day begins with overseeing the manufacturing floor, ensuring production schedules are met and resources are allocated efficiently. You’ll coordinate across departments to keep workflows optimized and maintain harmony among teams. A large part of the role involves guiding managers, coaching staff, and fostering a safe, collaborative environment where accountability and engagement thrive. You’ll monitor performance metrics, address conflicts, and partner with HR to handle recruitment, training, and disciplinary matters. Beyond daily operations, you’ll focus on strategic leadership—setting long-term goals, aligning budgets with company vision, and driving profitability. Regularly, you’ll analyze project plans, implement process improvements, and stay current with industry trends and technologies. Communication is key: you’ll present financial and performance reports to the President, collaborate with the Board, and ensure compliance with all regulations. Ultimately, your day is a balance of tactical oversight and strategic direction, ensuring both immediate productivity and sustainable growth.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 8 years in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, compliance standards, and industry regulations
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage cross-departmental operations
- Strong Excel skills
- Regional travel flexibility for meetings, site visits, and conference
