Responsibilities
- Drive the formulation and development of new bakery products, ensuring excellence in taste, texture, and quality.
- Stay current with advancements in bakery science; analyze ingredient functionality and resolve production-related quality issues.
- Apply expertise in formulation, food science, manufacturing, and commercialization to engineer, reverse-engineer, or develop products that meet customer needs.
- Lead the ideation, creation, assessment, and validation of formulations from bench-top trials through full-scale commercialization.
- Review and approve nutritional data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in drafting and maintaining product specifications.
- Conduct and oversee consumer testing, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and process improvement initiatives, serving as both subject matter expert and collaborative team member.
- Champion a culture of innovation by introducing new ideas and formulation concepts for both existing and future products.
- Collaborate closely with Food Safety & Quality, Compliance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Procurement teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years as a Food Scientist
- Bachelors Degree in the Sciences or Culinary
- Experience in baking of yeast raised dough is ideal
- Experience with plant trials and scale up
- Ability to mentor a team

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
