Virtual Care Consultant – Ambulatory Virtual Care – 40 Hours/Week – Day Shift

General Summary
Under minimal supervision, the Virtual Care Consultant performs project work of a complex nature. Consultants partner, collaborate and consult with all levels of the organization to enable individuals, teams, departments, and hospital/clinic sites to ensure achievement of digital/virtual care goals. Responsible for the design, development, implementation, troubleshooting and analysis of multiple comprehensive virtual care efforts of a complex nature in accordance with the HFHS Virtual Care (Telehealth) strategy. Project work will include technical analyses and facilitation of large multi-disciplinary/cross departmental groups of senior administrators and medical leaders, incorporating the clinical requirements, operational process, government regulations and customer experience expectations to develop and execute action plans/strategies for the integration and adoption of virtual care. The Virtual Care Consultant may work individually, as lead consultant of a project team, or in a consulting capacity for projects not directly assigned. In addition, serve as a technical consultant or subject matter expert to other HFHS departments, including medical practices, on virtual care/telehealth. Prepares reports and recommendations for management. The Virtual Care Consultant may supervise tasks of Instructional Designers, Analysts, or Technicians. Communicates regularly with Senior Management on specific projects.

Education/Experience Required
- Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an appropriate field required. Industrial/related engineering, project management, nursing or medical field, business administration, healthcare administration, organizational development, telecommunication, information technology, analytics, or similar field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisor and/or consulting experience preferred.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, organization skills required.
- Previous knowledge and experience in leading initiatives/project management is required, and Lean or Project Management certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of EMRs preferred.
- Telecommunication knowledge and experience preferred.
- Ability to manage complex, simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to identify when input from Director or other senior staff member is necessary.
- Strong diplomacy, collaboration and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership/mentoring skills applicable to lead/facilitate multi-disciplinary teams and help group reach consensus on complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff across the system.
- Ability to lead/provoke the thinking of senior level administrators and medical leadership.
- Oral and written communication skills, including the ability to teach technical/analytical concepts to non-technical managers and staff.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to examine data for trends and the ability to turn data into information for action.
