Position Overview
This Patient Care Coordinator position is a 3 - 4 month contract, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an immediate start date. You'll serve as the public face of the clinic, ensuring every patient's experience is welcoming and positive. The Patient Care Coordinator will support daily administrative and operational tasks, coordinate all patient interactions, and help drive clinic growth by attracting and retaining patients.
Responsibilities Of The Patient Care Coordinator
- Greet and assist all patients while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Handle 50 - 75 inbound and outbound phone calls daily.
- Schedule and confirm all patient appointments.
- Manage patient intake and processing.
- Collect and verify patients' medical insurance information.
- Order and receive office supplies and manage hearing-aid supply inventory.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure office cleanliness and organization.
- Adhere to and uphold all HIPAA compliance standards.
Required Experience/Skills for the Patient Care Coordinator:
- Previous customer service experience; healthcare office experience a plus.
- Professional and well-spoken - you'll be the face and voice of the clinic.
- Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls daily.
- Basic computer skills, including email, scheduling software, and data entry.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Patient Care Coordinator:
- Medical or doctor's office experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
