We are seeking a highly organized and motivated registered nurse to help support the implementation and coordination of diabetes antibody screening within the endocrinology clinic. Key responsibilities include conducting point-of-care testing, patient outreach, and facilitating follow-up steps in the care plan. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Job Summary
The Outpatient Clinic RN functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice and is responsible for the independent application of the nursing process while providing both indirect and direct patient care. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting providers in clinic with intake and discharge, in clinic patient education, using department protocols and procedures to perform phone triage, education and advice to patients, in-clinic medication administration and procedures, and the utilization of standing orders for prescription refills and diagnostic/laboratory testing. Administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level, and family/caregiver dynamics. Facilitates effective clinic operations, participates in Quality Management within scope of practice. Performs other duties as assigned from time to time as required, to improve outcomes, service, safety, and care.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
California RN License
6-months related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
2 Years of Experience
The current salary range for this position is $51.80 to $85.59
A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
