About the Role
We’re seeking a Director of Operations & Production — a sharp, organized, and solutions-driven leader who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and execution. This person will own the day-to-day operational rhythm of the business—from production and logistics to cross-functional alignment and process optimization. You’ll partner closely with the CEO, Chief Design Officer, and Head of Business Operations to ensure the company runs seamlessly while scaling with intention. Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee and optimize production timelines, vendor relationships, and supply-chain processes from design to delivery.
- Manage forecasting, inventory flow, and quality control across collections.
- Identify and implement systems and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and communication across teams.
- Lead weekly operations meetings with clear priorities, action tracking, and accountability.
Vendor & Manufacturing Management
- Serve as the primary liaison with local South Florida manufacturers, pattern makers, and fabric vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, capacity, and lead times; maintain exceptional quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits (Spanish fluency preferred for local communication).
- Ensure alignment between production capacity and sales forecasts.
Strategic Execution
- Partner with CEO to translate high-level strategic goals into actionable operating plans and KPIs.
- Support business analysis, margin tracking, and process documentation to scale intelligently.
- Collaborate with finance and ops to manage budgets, vendor payments, and cost optimization.
- Contribute to board-level reports, quarterly reviews, and investor updates as needed.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate daily with Design, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure launches, deliveries, and campaigns stay on track.
- Build repeatable systems for product development, approvals, and deliveries.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, communication, and accountability
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of experience in business operations, production, or consulting (fashion or consumer-goods experience highly preferred).
- Prior experience at a top consulting firm (BCG, Bain, McKinsey, etc.) or strategy-minded fashion/consumer company is a strong plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred (spoken proficiency required).
- Strong technical skills: Excel/Google Sheets, Airtable/Asana/Notion, and ERP familiarity (Netsuite, ApparelMagic, etc.).
- Deep understanding of the product life cycle—from design handoff to finished goods.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple moving parts calmly and confidently.
- Strong interpersonal skills—able to communicate across levels, navigate conflict, and bring people together.
- Positive, energetic, and health-conscious mindset; leads with optimism and precision.
- South Florida–based or willing to relocate.
Travel
- Some travel required (vendor visits, production, trade shows as needed (domestic and international)
Hybrid Work Schedule
- 3-4 days in-person attendance in office
