Position Summary
The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) will provide a combination of patient support and care coordination functions within the pediatric department. This role emphasizes coordination with specialists as well as specialty patient follow-up care, and ensures families receive timely and accurate guidance post-visit. The RN will also manage the pediatric patient phone queue, responding to clinical inquiries, providing medication education, and assisting with results communication.
Requirements
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must have thorough education or training in basic medical terminology
- LPN Certification required
- Prior experience as an LPN in a medical setting
- CPR preferred
- Flexibility with hours (some evening hours), comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
