Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Procurement – Aviation
Function: Service Delivery Leader/ Consultant
The role is to lead solutioning and client engagements for Direct/InDirect Procurement requirements for manufacturing clients in A&D sector and develop people-process-technology-digital transformative solutions which can address client’s requirements in procurement space.
Responsibilities
- Lead Solutioning & PreSales efforts for global deals including responsible for driving Revenue growth across competitive and sole source pursuits
- Provides demonstrable expertise in design and delivery of cutting edge people-process-technology-digital solutions for Direct/Indirect Procurement, Supply Chain and associated services and helping win new deals.
- Ensure quality and adequate thought leadership in designed Solutions and create original artifacts that would feed into continually improving solution qualities
- Ability to be client focused and drive creation of transformational Solutions that connect elements of supply chain value chain & creating the optimal techno commercial constructs
- Work closely with the Clients CPOs and supply chain teams and lead the requirement gathering workshops and solution design sessions.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME) for all procurement requirements in the US region.
- Where possible, provide inputs as functional expert to design and develop new digital solutions in Procurement and supply chain space.
- Articulate Value proposition for client solutions by highlighting key business outcomes and the value of the created solution.
- Lead Lean/Process improvement workshops in procurement space.
- Publish thought leadership across multiple channels, e.g. white papers, company intranet, articles in business and Industry or Horizontal- specific publications, speaking engagements, social media (Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn).
- Should be comfortable managing multiple priorities and managing large global teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is required (Master’s degree or equivalent is desirable).
- Experience in running large scale global procurement operations for Global companies.
- Experience in aviation OEMs is added advantage.
- Proven ability to generate business and spearhead the elevation of portfolio client engagements to their next level of growth
- Proven track record of driving change in people and processes, with strong project management, implementation, and process improvement skills.
- Must possess sound knowledge of global supplier base supplying key direct material commodities (forging, castings, sheet metal, fabrication etc).
- Consultative skills and structured thought process, Creative thinking/innovative mindset
- Ability to engage senior client management on offerings, emerging issues in focus sectors, lead project scope discussions and provide insightful recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to build connects for positioning Genpact as a trusted partner in procurement space.
- Should be comfortable managing multiple priorities and managing large global teams.
- Should have hands on experience in creation of RFQ packages for manufacturing parts across various commodities based on production / project requirements and timelines by collecting relevant details like Approved Vendor list, drawings, specifications, checklists etc.
- Ability to work in matrix organization and cross functional teams across India, US, China and Europe

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$160,000 to $200,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
