Job Title: Manufacturing Manager
Location: Placentia, CA
Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager oversees daily plant floor operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and meet company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reduce scrap, and increase efficiency using Strategy Deployment.
- Monitor and improve operational KPIs, production quality, and cost controls.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to support plant objectives.
- Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and material management.
- Recruit, train, and manage performance of manufacturing staff; develop leadership capabilities across the team.
- Support new product introductions and process improvements in compounding, casting, coating, and converting.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and all safety regulations.
- Manage budget planning, labor costs, and operational expenses in alignment with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in manufacturing operations, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in processing environments (e.g., coating, roll-to-roll printing, extrusion).
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office Suite.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
