The role of a Plant Manager is to manage a production plant. The main missions of the role are to:
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety of employees.
- Ensure permanent customer satisfaction and intimacy: quality and deliveries.
- Manage variable margin: direct labor efficiency and productivity / material cost consumption/ Scrap and rework reduction.
- Manage fixed cost: indirect labor and manufacturing costs.
- Manage inventories: appropriate information management and physical flow in the plant to prevent inventory variances.
- Set plant lay out for optimal flow and efficient use of equipment: capacity, reliability, operating costs, Capital control.
- Drive continuous and breakthrough improvement through plant priorities and resources defined by the plant improvement plan and aligned with PMT business targets using LEAN Manufacturing tools and methodologies to support execution.
- Support sales department for customer claims negotiation.
- Act within program team as early as acquisition, to create best conditions for production, secure launches and ensure competitiveness / profitability of the new programs.
- Drive supplier performance improvement, and material consumption reduction with purchasing department.
- Respect for the environment and security of the plant.
- Participate in PMT construction to confirm plant mid-term vision and future.
- Fulfill legal responsibilities and interface with local authorities.
- Ensure staffing, induction, training, empowerment, and development of all plant employees including managers & professionals.
- Develop team to prepare succession.
Health, Safety, & Environment:
- Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
- Conform to requirements established in Fraser Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure the availability of resources essential to establish, implement, maintain, and improve the IATF16049 management system and ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant HSE requirements.
- Support commitments established in the Quality Policy and ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
- Support environmental programs to achieve objectives and targets.
- Periodically review the operation of the EMS with appropriate managers & appoint representative(s) for EMS.

Position Specifications
Authorities:
- Manage communication with every Department at Division level.
- Make decisions for the business to achieve plant targets and to protect the customer.
- Make organizational changes.
- Approve or reject exceptional freight.
- Has the authorization to approve expenses and purchase orders to his/her management team within the budget.
- Issue disciplinary actions to Operators/Team Leads/Supervisors based on company rules and policies; including, but not limited to suspend employees.
- Stop the line to protect operators and customers from potential harm or quality issues.
- Set schedules based on customer demands; including but not limited to run overtime.
- Sound alarm for natural disaster/security breaches/fire.
- Ensure the Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Proven experience in production management and lean manufacturing production system
- Proven experience in team management with leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to build and manage a P&L budget with Finance knowledge
- Leadership ability, teamwork skills, and be able to work closely with all levels in the organization

Education/Experience:
- Preferably Master’s Degree in Engineering or Production Systems.
- Minimum 5 years of team management experience
- Proficient level of English
The ideal candidate will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees.

Qualifications
