About the Opportunity
Copple Chevrolet GMC is seeking a driven Vehicle Buyer or Automotive Purchasing Specialist to expand our dealership’s vehicle inventory through smart, data-informed acquisitions. This position blends automotive market analysis, negotiation, and buying strategy — ideal for someone who loves the challenge of finding great vehicles and making profitable purchases.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase vehicles through online auto auctions (Manheim, ACV, OVE, etc.) and live wholesale events.
- Evaluate used car condition reports, vehicle histories, and market data to identify the best buys.
- Collaborate with dealership management to align vehicle purchases with sales goals and stock plans.
- Build long-term relationships with auction representatives and vehicle sellers.
- Track performance metrics to meet monthly purchasing targets.
- Contribute market insights in weekly inventory and acquisition meetings.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Vehicle Buyer, Auto Auction Buyer, Used Car Buyer, or Automotive Purchasing Manager preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive valuation tools (MMR, KBB, NADA, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital platforms for research and buying.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
