This role is onsite in Nevada roughly 1 hour from Reno, NV.
Our client does offer relocation assistance but must currently live in the U.S.
Minimal travel, on-call 24/7 and working 'typical business hours'
Should have: 10+ years of advanced experience in a food manufacturing environment including 5 years of management experience at the Plant/Operations/Manufacturing level.
This role oversees all Operating departments within the site. The position involves collaborating with plant management, employees, and acting as a liaison with all other departments. Responsibilities include the supervision of Receiving, Production, Maintenance, Wastewater, and Warehouse departments.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the health, safety, and well-being of team members
- Verify adequate staffing of teams to meet business needs
- Participate in core leadership processes, including developing budgets, onboarding, and succession planning
- Lead development of Key Performance Indicators
- Facilitate communication between customers and Plant employees and departments
- Ensure facility operations comply with company policies, expectations, and regulatory requirements
- Support an innovative, data-driven culture focused on continuous improvement and learning.
- Assist leaders in optimizing business integration systems
- Lead stakeholder collaboration to standardize functions in quality, safety, maintenance, sustainability, environmental matters, SAP, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Auditing
- Enable teams to improve equipment reliability
- Partner with stakeholders to manage Capital and Expense Project Management processes.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience and 10+ years of progressive food manufacturing experience, including 5 years in management.
- Drink Powder / Spray Drying
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and act.
- Interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including persuasive communication
- Self-motivation and direction
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
- Effective interaction and communication with employees and customers at various levels
- Adaptability to changing environments and requirements.
- On-call availability.
