The Senior Supply Chain Manager oversees end-to-end supply chain operations in a dynamic food manufacturing environment, ensuring consistent material availability, production efficiency, and on-time customer delivery. This position requires a strategic leader who can both manage and develop high-performing teams while effectively influencing senior leaders and cross-functional peers to align on priorities, resources, and long-term supply chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Influence
- Lead, coach, and develop a team across demand planning, procurement, production scheduling, and inventory control.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the supply chain function.
- Effectively influence and align senior leadership (Operations, Finance, Sales, and R&D) to support decisions impacting capacity, cost, and customer service.
- Represent the Supply Chain function in executive-level discussions and cross-departmental initiatives, ensuring priorities are well-communicated and supported.
Strategic & Operational Execution
- Oversee the development and execution of the integrated S&OP process, balancing supply capabilities with customer demand and financial objectives.
- Identify strategic opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance service levels.
- Translate business strategy into operational plans with measurable KPIs that drive performance and visibility.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging in compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Build strong supplier partnerships; lead cost negotiations, vendor scorecard reviews, and corrective action processes.
- Collaborate with Finance and Quality to evaluate supplier risk and implement performance improvement initiatives.
Planning & Inventory Optimization
- Lead demand and supply planning to maintain balanced inventory levels across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Oversee production scheduling to maximize efficiency while meeting service commitments.
- Ensure data integrity in ERP/MRP systems for accurate forecasting, planning, and reporting.
Logistics & Distribution
- Partner with distribution and warehouse teams to optimize freight, routing, and fulfillment.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and ensure compliance with DOT, FDA, and USDA standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7–10 years of progressive supply chain or operations experience, ideally within food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution environments.
- Proven success managing and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, gain consensus across departments, and communicate data-driven recommendations.
- Strong command of ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- APICS, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
