We’re seeking a Project Management Director, North America for one of the largest OEM/ODM electronics group of companies. This role will report to the corporate VP/Head of Project Management and act as the senior project liaison with key clients in North America, driving business engagement and early-stage product development. US citizen/Green card holder is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior executives, clients, and cross-functional teams to align program objectives with business strategy. Drive execution of multiple projects, from concept through mass production.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation. Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Lead project reviews with internal teams and customer stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability. Monitor program KPIs, escalating issues and driving resolutions proactively.
- Act as the senior project liaison with key accounts, ensuring alignment with expectations. Anticipate client needs and proactively address concerns to maintain trust and long-term partnerships.
- Translate customer requirements into clear deliverables for internal execution teams.
- Build and mentor a team of project and program managers, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence. Develop best practices in program management tailored to the fast-paced consumer electronics industry.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration across global sites and partners.
- Support organizational change initiatives and scalability as the company grows.
Requirements/Desired Profile:
- 12+ years of experience in program/project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within consumer electronics OEM/ODM or related hardware industries.
- Proven track record of managing complex, high-volume product development projects for US-based key accounts/clients.
- Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management (concept, design, validation, ramp-up, and mass production).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and quality systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and methodologies (PMP, Agile, or equivalent certifications a plus). Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced Silicon Valley environment and travel internationally as needed.
