Job Description
Masimo is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Leader to oversee and drive global manufacturing operations across its portfolio of medical devices. This executive will be responsible for leading the end-to-end manufacturing strategy, ensuring operational excellence, product quality, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency across all facilities.
The SVP will partner closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Engineering to align manufacturing capabilities with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of lean manufacturing, medical device regulations (FDA, ISO 13485), and global supply chain management, along with a proven ability to scale production in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global manufacturing operations, including multiple sites, with full responsibility for output, quality, safety, and cost performance.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to scale production in alignment with growth objectives and new product introductions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards including FDA, ISO, and international guidelines.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with R&D and Product Development to ensure design for manufacturability and smooth transfer to production.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing manufacturing leadership team and promote a culture of operational excellence.
- Oversee capital planning, capacity expansion, and technology investments across manufacturing operations.
- Serve as a key voice in executive leadership, contributing to corporate strategy, risk mitigation, and long-term planning.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, ideally within the medical device or life sciences industry.
- Proven experience managing multi-site, global manufacturing operations.
- Deep knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and GMP requirements.
- Track record of leading complex manufacturing scale-ups and global expansions.
- Strong operational background in lean, Six Sigma, and process excellence methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $272,000 - $340,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 35% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.
