Administrative Assistant to Executive Director
Our client is a well respected international not-for-profit located in mid-town NYC. This postion is a 9-5, 5 days in the office position( "some") flexibility. The organization offers a generous benefits package.
Position Overview:
This is a front-facing position with the focus on supporting the administrative needs of the Executive Director, including taking the lead with the planning and execution of various meetings and events. In addition, this person will also be involved in various operational aspects of the organization at the discretion of the Executive Director. This person needs to be available to sometimes work evenings to support events and meetings with the possibility for occasional travel to support these events in meetings in markets outside of NY.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administrative support
- Heavy email interaction on behalf of the Executive Director with donors, Board Members and funded researchers
- CRM Data entry
- Scheduling – responsible for Executive Directors calendar
- Event and meeting planning and support
- Coordination of Board meetings, materials and correspondence
- Other administrative duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
- 7- 15 years of related experience
- Very strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
- Significant attention to detail
- Ability to work well with staff and donors in a professional and positive manner.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and assume ownership of projects.
- Strong technological proficiency required; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
- Experience with a fundraising CRM such as DonorPerfect is a plus
