Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will oversee all manufacturing divisions, drive the execution of the production plan, and foster a strong safety culture. This role is pivotal in ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met while prioritizing the development, safety, and training of our teams.
The Manufacturing Manager will be accountable for tracking and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities to optimize processes, driving schedule, cost, and quality, optimizing overtime, and supporting balanced production workloads to achieve growth targets.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage Teams: Supervise and mentor department leads, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Prioritize employee safety, training, and development to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Coordinate Team Efforts: Align and coordinate the efforts of each department and their teams to achieve common production objectives, ensuring seamless collaboration across the organization.
- Execute Production Plan: Oversee the implementation of the production plan to meet output goals, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to schedules.
- Drive Schedule, Cost, and Quality: Proactively manage production schedules, control costs, and uphold quality standards to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Optimize Overtime and Workload Balance: Strategically manage overtime to minimize costs while ensuring production demands are met. Support balanced production workloads to achieve growth targets and maintain consistent employee schedules.
- Set Safety Culture: Champion a safety-first culture by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular training, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Manage daily manufacturing operations, addressing issues such as equipment downtime, process inefficiencies, or staffing challenges to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure Quality and Production Goals: Monitor production processes to ensure high-quality output and meet established production targets. Address quality issues promptly to maintain standards.
- Optimize Processes: Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall performance.
- Track and Achieve KPIs: Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and overtime management. Be accountable for meeting or exceeding these metrics.
- Communication: Leverage bilingual skills (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate with team members, department leads, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and inclusive collaboration.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of managing teams and achieving operational goals.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
