We are representing a Fortune 500 Aerospace organization within the Metals Sector who is actively seeking a Director of Plant Operations (General Manager). The General Manager will report directly to the Group EVP who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Candidate will report to the Group EVP while managing (8) direct reports including Sales Director, Director of Mfg, Site Engineering Leader, Safety Director, Quality Manager, HR Leader, and Maintenance/Reliability.
- Complete Profit/Loss accountability (control and optimize costs) over $600M revenue campus
- Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
- Oversee multiple projects to sure on time/under budget
- Track and develop departmental KPI's and deliverables
- Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
- Work closely with staff to development "HI-POT " talent
- Interface with customers on engineering issues
- Work cross functionally with other departments
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration (preference for Accounting/Finance, Engineering or technical field).
- Candidate needs at least 3-5 years of FULL PROFIT/LOSS accountability
- Experience working within Metals environment is preferred
- Strong Financial acumen is required.
