Position Summary:
DSJ Global is looking for a Plant Manager accountable for leading all aspects of plant operations to achieve and exceed performance targets. This role is responsible for fostering a culture of safety, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. Key focus areas include Environmental and Safety performance, Employee Engagement, Cost Efficiency, Reliability, Production Output, Product Availability, and Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a proactive, sustainable health, safety, and environmental culture. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee plant performance metrics including cost control, equipment and process efficiency, and departmental productivity. Provide strategic guidance to direct reports.
- Foster a high-morale, inclusive environment through active employee engagement. Encourage fact-based decision-making and recognize individual and team contributions.
- Approve and oversee short- and long-term departmental plans and production schedules. Align plant strategies with broader business objectives in efficiency, inventory, and logistics.
- Manage allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Approve facility maintenance and equipment repairs, balancing cost and service impact to ensure operational continuity.
- Maintain and communicate plant KPIs. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of operational data.
- Lead the plant's Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure safe and effective implementation of operational changes.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Lead the development and execution of the plant's operating budget and capital investment program.
- Monitor employee performance and development. Implement training and succession planning initiatives to build a high-performing team.
- Build strong relationships across departments, including other plant sites and corporate functions, to share best practices and drive alignment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement focused on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and alignment with company core values.
- Balance day-to-day operational execution with long-term strategic planning for plant growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Operations Management within the chemicals, mining, or mineral processing industries.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple plant locations and leading cross-functional teams.
