What You'll Do
Project Manager - CVS Implementation will support all Health and Wellness Division Capital and cost optimization projects across the KIND, Natures Bakery and Tru Fru Business Units.
This pivotal role will lead and integrate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful commissioning, validation, and start-up (CVS) of new products and projects. The role will collaborate closely with, site leaders, engineering teams, operations, and maintenance. The role will align technical commissioning goals with project scope and Site Readiness Functional Plans, ensuring all milestones are achieved on time, safely, and in compliance with applicable standards. This is how you'll do it...
- Lead and integrate cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain—to align priorities and execute commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV/CVS) strategies in support of project milestones and Site Readiness plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all CVS activities for new systems, equipment, and process installations, ensuring successful, safe, and efficient start-ups that meet business Critical Success Factors (CSFs).
- Develop and execute CVS/CQV deliverables, including commissioning and validation protocols, FAT/SAT activities, handover signoffs, and validation reports in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
- Facilitate CVS-focused and project meetings, track key milestones, manage scope changes, and drive accountability to maintain alignment and transparency across teams.
- Lead de-risking workshops and proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks to ensure schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.
- Drive commissioning implementation to achieve agreed-upon performance criteria and operational readiness, coordinating site resources and support workstreams.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and site leadership to integrate technical commissioning goals with Site Readiness Functional Plans and minimize operational disruption during start-up.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, delivering clear, data-driven, and compelling updates to key stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration and partnership among internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment, efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and performance excellence throughout all phases of commissioning, validation, and project execution.
What you'll bring to Mars Health and Wellness Snacking Division
- Proven success leading commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Strong working knowledge of FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, change control, and risk-based validation methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 40% or as required for project execution.
You have...
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project management roles, with direct exposure to CQV/CVS or capital project implementation.
- Proven success leading commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Strong working knowledge of FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, change control, and risk-based validation methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 40% or as required for project execution.
Pluses
- Experience preferred in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), Food, Beverage, or Life Sciences industries.
- Familiarity with GMP, GEP, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and capital appropriation processes.
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is
$110,000 to $140,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
