Description
Serves as a role model, consultant, change agent, and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for the nursing staff utilizing evidence based practice. Promotes quality patient care by orienting, educating, and supervising nursing personnel while remaining clinically competent in all aspects of patient care. Assists Director with maintaining and monitoring compliance with staff educational requirements and certifications. Has full access to patient health information.
Schedule: 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in
- Minimum 5 years current clinical experience and at least 2 years pediatric experience.
- MSN required or significant work toward completion.
- Agrees to obtain specialty certification(s), if not already certified.
- Has ability to establish a climate conducive to learning.
- An ability and willingness to educate staff regarding patient’s growth and development needs.
- Ability to assess and develop educational programs based on departmental needs and patient population served.
- Demonstrates leadership ability and effective interpersonal skills.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
