We’re seeking a highly skilled, resourceful Production Director to lead the full production lifecycle across Women’s RTW, Knitwear, and Soft Accessories. This is a pivotal role for a detail-obsessed creative, and a true partner to Design—someone who thrives at the intersection of innovation, operational mastery, and best-in-class product execution. This team member will report directly to Christopher.
As our Director of Production, you will guide each style from design approval to finished garment, orchestrating timelines, vendor relationships, costing, and quality control with precision. You’ll manage day-to-day production, uphold uncompromising brand standards, and ensure all deliveries meet internal margin goals—on time, on budget, and beautifully made.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own the end-to-end production process
- Build, manage, and uphold the seasonal production calendar—balancing creativity and efficiency from initial sourcing through final delivery.
- Oversee manufacturing across domestic and overseas factories, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely execution.
- Continuously evaluate workflows and vendor performance to maximize efficiency and drive cost optimization while prioritizing quality.
Cultivate strong vendor relationships
- Partner with existing factory partners across NYC and overseas while proactively sourcing new factories to support long term growth and quality needs.
- Negotiate costing on both bulk materials and finished goods to uphold internal MU goals.
Lead product accuracy, integrity, and excellence
- Build and maintain all BOMs in internal PLM, including material libraries, seasonal style setup, and ongoing data accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with designers to cost samples, enter data, and manage approvals within the PLM system.
- Issue and manage all bulk material POs, approvals, and shipments—including coordination with freight forwarders and tracking delivery into NYC.
- Organize and allocate all materials and trims for domestic production, ensuring every vendor receives accurate and timely inputs.
Champion technical production precision
- Partner with Design and patternmaking partners to finalize production patterns, managing grading, marking, and cutting with local cutting rooms.
- Become an expert in patterns and garment construction in tandem with Design to support accurate execution and troubleshooting.
Keep the business running smoothly
- Enter all seasonal styles into PLM ahead of market, ensuring content, care, HTS, and HS code accuracy.
- Manage and book all freight forwarder shipments for overseas deliveries.
- Support weekly cash-flow planning for development and production in partnership with CFO.
- Lead day-to-day troubleshooting across production and post-production to keep operations seamless.
Lead and develop talent
- Recruit, train, and manage seasonal interns, creating a learning-forward, organized, and inspired work environment.

WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in production and development, with strong NYC domestic production experience.
- Deeply knowledgeable in garment construction, costing, timelines, and vendor management.
- Fluent in PLM systems (Zedonk experience strongly preferred).
- A natural problem solver with exceptional attention to detail and organizational finesse.
- Comfortable embracing the tactile rhythm of production, including lifting and transporting materials up to 20 lbs between the studio and factories.
- A proactive, collaborative presence and team player — able to balance commercial strategy and a growth mindset with creativity.

$100,000 – 125,000; this role would be eligible for benefits.
- The salary range proposed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Individual pay will be determined by factors including position related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
