Position Purpose
The Patient Services Administrator plays a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred service. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing accurate information, managing appointments and supporting billing processes, all while ensuring a calm and professional environment.
This role requires a patient and confident communicator who can handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and internal departments
- Manage patient medical records and day hospital coordination
- Working understanding of Medicare/Private Health claims
- Generating invoices and managing billing
- Maintain accurate records using practice management software
- Support patients through their IVF journey with clear communication and care
Key Criteria
- A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in medical reception or customer service within a healthcare environment. Experience supporting OBGYN clinicians will be highly regarded
- Thorough understanding of Medicare and Private Health billing
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with Clinic2Cloud, Genie, or similar practice management systems
- An exceptional communicator, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive conversations
