A major producer in the recycled paperboard and converting sector is seeking a proven Plant Manager to lead its fully integrated mill and converting operations. This role oversees two CRB paper machines and a large union workforce, reporting directly to executive leadership. What You’ll Lead
• Full operational management of paper mill and converting lines, ensuring top-tier performance in safety, production, and quality
• Leadership of multi-shift production, maintenance, and support teams, building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
• Execution of improvement initiatives that drive efficiency gains, reduce waste, and strengthen OPEX performance
• Delivery of demanding production schedules and adherence to strict quality standards
• Oversight of compliance programs across safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring and optimizing KPIs, including run rates, energy, yield, and cost metrics
• Partnership with Engineering/Reliability teams to enhance asset uptime and maintenance strategy
• Development of annual budgets, forecasts, and capex proposals to support long-term growth
• Constructive management of labor relations within a union environment
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Paper Science, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or a technical discipline (required)
• 10+ years of paper manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a senior operations or Plant Manager role
• Strong technical command of paper machine operations; CRB experience is a significant advantage
• Proven leadership success with a unionized manufacturing workforce
• Track record driving OPEX, lean, or continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong financial acumen and comfort with data-driven decision making
