VP of Mission Critical Operations (General Contractor)
Location: Charlotte NC
Are you a mission critical leader who knows how to build, scale and deliver complex projects with confidence? I’m partnered with a mid-sized industrial general contractor who self perform around 65% of their work including piping, mechanical and concrete. They have a strong pipeline of mission critical projects across the Southeast and are now looking to bring in a VP to lead and grow this division.
This is a high impact role with autonomy, visibility and the chance to shape a rapidly growing business unit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee all mission critical and data center operations across the Southeast
- Lead project delivery on work ranging between $50mil - $100mil per year
- Act as the main point of contact for clients ensuring projects run safely, efficiently and profitably
- Manage and mentor a team of PMs, supers and field leadership
- Develop operational strategy, processes and best practices as the division scales
- Support preconstruction, estimating and business development on upcoming pursuits
- Review schedules, budgets, manpower planning and risk management
- Ensure self-perform capabilities are leveraged effectively across piping, mechanical and concrete
- Champion quality, safety and client relationships
What They’re Looking For
- Experience overseeing mission critical or data center projects at a senior level (PX, Ops Manager, VP etc)
- Strong operational leadership with the ability to drive consistency and performance across multiple teams
- Background with mechanical, industrial or self-performing contractors preferred
- Ability to travel roughly one night per week as needed
- Passion for building and growing a division, not just maintaining one
What’s On Offer
- Base salary around $175,000 - $225,000 per annum depending on experience
