Job Description
Singing Pastures is entering an exciting period of growth, and we are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to guide our production and supply chain systems to the next level. This position is responsible for ensuring that every part of our operation functions smoothly, from purchasing and manufacturing to inventory control and order fulfillment.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both strategic planning and daily involvement. You will design systems that make our production more efficient, improve inventory accuracy, and reduce costs while maintaining our commitment to quality and integrity. You will collaborate with leadership across departments including Finance, Sales, and Marketing to align operational goals with company performance.

What You’ll Get to Do
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production scheduling, logistics, and inventory management.
- Develop demand forecasts using sales trends, historical data, and input from sales and marketing teams to ensure product availability and minimize waste.
- Manage production yield data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of materials and co-manufactured products.
- Collaborate with the CFO to align production plans with financial targets and sales forecasts.
- Monitor inventory health, reconcile physical counts with system data, and optimize stock levels across multiple locations.
- Coordinate trucking and logistics, ensuring timely movement of goods between processors, warehouses, and customers.
- Develop and refine SOPs for supply chain operations as the company scales.
- Support sales operations, including setting up new customer paperwork, managing PO flow, and coordinating order fulfillment.
- Implement data-driven reporting, leveraging metrics to track performance, forecast accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, planning, and production efficiency.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field (advanced degree or certification such as APICS/CPIM is a plus).
· 5 or more years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain management, preferably within food or consumer packaged goods.
· Experience managing production planning, purchasing, and logistics.
· Proficiency in using data and metrics to make informed decisions.
· Strong organizational and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
· Passion for building efficient processes and improving results over time.

Location: Washington D.C. or Maryland Based; preference for candidates who can travel periodically to Maine or key production/warehousing sites. Potential for Hybrid Work.
