DIBS Beauty is looking for a highly organized, proactive Freelance Project Manager to support our Product Development and Operations teams in driving end-to-end project timelines and ensuring on-time execution across our omni-channel launch calendar. This role is critical to keeping programs on track, managing cross-functional inputs, and bringing beautiful, innovative products to market smoothly and efficiently.
This contractor will partner closely with PD, Ops, and external manufacturing partners to build and manage timelines in Smartsheet, communicate key milestones, and support internal and vendor meetings to ensure all teams are aligned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Build and maintain internal project timelines based on vendor schedules, ensuring tasks, owners, and deadlines are clearly captured and updated in Smartsheet.
- Own and facilitate internal cross-functional timeline meetings, ensuring open deliverables are reviewed, risks are flagged early, and action items are captured and followed through.
- Attend weekly vendor/manufacturer meetings, track deliverables across all aspects of product goods including packaging, regulatory and testing while supporting communication between partners and internal teams.
- Present project updates and key milestones in cross-functional NPL (new product launch) meetings.
- Identify risks and bottlenecks proactively, escalating when needed and proposing solutions to keep launches on track.
- Maintain launch calendar, status trackers, and key documentation across product programs.
- Support PD & Ops in organizing key deliverables (samples, testing, approvals, artwork, packaging, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of project management experience in beauty, CPG, or consumer brand environments; beauty PD experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of product development workflows and vendor/manufacturer collaboration.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience using Smartsheet (or equivalent project management software).
- Proactive problem-solver who anticipates next steps and brings solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Contract Role: 20–25 hrs./week.
- Compensation: $50/hour.
- Location: Remote, but NY / East Coast Time Zone preferred.
- Start Date: Immediate.
