The Global Sourcing Manager leads the full product lifecycle from development through delivery. This role oversees vendor relationships, costing strategy, purchase order execution, and compliance tracking. As a key cross-functional partner, the Manager drives timelines, resolves production challenges, and ensures products meet quality and margin goals. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end sourcing and production process from development through delivery
- Ensure timely execution of seasonal programs across multiple product categories
- Lead sample tracking, vendor communication, and product approvals to meet quality and timeline goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams (design, planning, marketing, compliance) and external vendors
- Build strong vendor relationships to support cost, quality, and delivery objectives
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment on product status, costing, and delivery timelines
- Partner with design and product development to gather seasonal costing needs
- Review and negotiate vendor costs to meet margin targets
- Support allocation decisions and ensure sourcing strategies align with brand goals
- Manage purchase order creation, updates, and accuracy across systems
- Ensure all product and vendor details are confirmed prior to PO release
- Monitor overages, shortages, and delivery changes, escalating issues as needed
- Maintain and monitor Time & Action calendars to ensure production milestones are met
- Track WIP reports and proactively address delays or risks to seasonal timelines
- Support quality and compliance teams in maintaining testing trackers and import documentation
- Ensure vendor adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members or direct reports
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and vendor communication
- Contribute to building scalable systems that support operational transparency and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, product development, or production (socks/knitwear experience preferred)
- Proven experience managing direct reports and mentoring talent
- Strong background in end-to-end product management (PD, Production, Sourcing)
- Strategic and analytical thinker with intellectual agility
- Experience working with global partners; international travel experience preferred
- Skilled in cost analysis and vendor negotiation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented, and able to manage complex challenges
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities
- Self-starter, deadline-driven, and highly organized
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PLM and SAP experience preferred
- Must be available to work on-site 2–3 days per week
Annual salary starting at $85,000.
