Our client, a leading national cannabis operator, is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee all day-to-day “make and deliver” functions across their New Jersey business unit. This strategic leadership role will manage cultivation, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and quality operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and consistent product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop local operations teams across cultivation and manufacturing sites.
- Oversee production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics to optimize efficiency.
- Champion safety, quality, and compliance across all operations.
- Drive Lean Six Sigma and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Partner with state regulators to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Manage budgets, P&L, and operational KPIs to achieve business goals.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations (FDA, GMP, or related environment).
- Proven leadership in managing large teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong background in process improvement, quality control, and logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in the cannabis industry a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive mindset.
