Description
As the VP of QA, you will be responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency, and financial accountability of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Inspire: Set the vision and direction for the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Regulatory Expertise: Stay ahead of USDA, FDA, and OSHA regulations, and guide the organization in compliance and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze QA data, identify root causes, and implement innovative solutions to enhance product quality and safety.
- Customer & Sales Collaboration: Ensure timely and effective communication with customers and sales teams regarding food safety and quality.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the QA department’s annual budget in alignment with company goals.
- Strategic Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to support data-driven decision-making.
 
 
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field
- Extensive knowledge of USDA, FDA, and OSHA 1910 regulations
- Proven leadership in food manufacturing and quality assurance
 
 
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Business Administration
- 15+ years in food manufacturing with executive-level QA experience
- Experience leading multi-site QA teams and participating in board meetings
