Position Title: Director of Supply Chain
Location: The Woodlands, Texas
Overview
A leading global manufacturer is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Supply Chain to support one of its key business divisions. This role is responsible for shaping and executing supply chain strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, optimize costs, and improve operational efficiency across the end-to-end supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, customer expectations, and operational capabilities.
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies to ensure consistent product availability while managing inventory and transportation costs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team through clear role definition, coaching, and professional development.
- Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders to establish unified reporting systems for order backlog, shipment forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Drive cross-functional improvements in areas such as customer service, manufacturing, and distribution to enhance delivery metrics (e.g., on-time, in-full).
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 8+ years.
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally with exposure to procurement, sourcing, or operations.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and ERP systems.
- Skilled in project management, reporting, and strategic execution.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Experience implementing division-wide reporting systems.
- Background in global matrix organizations.
- Familiarity with shared logistics and distribution models.
