Position Type: Nursing Scheduler

We are currently seeking a motivated Nurse Scheduler (LPN preferred) to join our team. This role includes a unique blend of administrative and clinical responsibilities. The position includes:
- Three 8-hour office-based shifts focused on staff scheduling.
- One 12-hour shift per week on the nursing floor, providing hands-on support.
- On-call every Friday.
- On-call every 5th weekend.
This hybrid schedule allows the scheduler to stay connected with the clinical team while also supporting smooth operational flow and coverage across all shifts.

The Staff Scheduler is responsible for assisting with staff scheduling of the Nursing Department. Assist with coordinating an effective schedule under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Works directly with nursing supervisors on shift specific nursing care hour needs.
Scheduler Responsibilities and Duties:
- LPN preferred
- Schedules all nursing staff and prepares weekly nursing schedule. Notifies staff of schedule and necessary schedule changes.
- Receives incoming calls and directs appropriately in order to address nursing scheduling issues. Notifies Nursing Administration when there is a lack of appropriate staff availability or staff conflict regarding the schedule.
- Obtains permission from the Dir. of Nursing/Administrator prior to scheduling overtime or nursing registry personnel.
- Adjusts schedules as needed to accommodate changes, i.e., illness, vacation, PTO days, etc.
- Collaborates with Nursing Administration daily to ensure adequate and appropriate staff is allocated.
- Assists nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
- Assists payroll manager with processing of weekly payroll and appropriate nursing hours.
