The Manufacturing Production Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. Their responsibilities include planning production schedules, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, optimizing processes, inventory and resource management, ensuring products are manufactured within required lead times.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and timelines to meet sales demands and production targets.
Supervise, train, and motivate production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive work environment.
Ensure that products meet established quality standards and specifications, implementing quality control measures and addressing any deviations.
Analyze production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize costs.
Enforce safety regulations, ensure a safe working environment for all employees, and address any safety concerns or hazards.
Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Develop and manage production budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with other departments, such as engineering, purchasing, and sales, to ensure smooth production operations and coordination.
Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports for senior management on production performance and key indicators.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and minimizing downtime.
Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring adequate supply to support production schedules and minimize storage costs.
Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement in production processes, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications
- B.S. (Preferred) in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10 years minimum experience in manufacturing operations, production management, inventory management and production team management or related field.
