Our client, a private equity–backed consumer products company with revenues of approximately $250M, is entering a new chapter of accelerated growth and market expansion. The company has built a nationally recognized brand with strong retail partnerships and an omnichannel presence. With significant investment from its private equity sponsor, the business is positioned to scale operations, enhance profitability, and expand both domestically and internationally.
Position Overview
The CEO will serve as the senior-most leader of the company, reporting directly to the private equity sponsor and Board of Directors. This executive will be responsible for refining the company’s strategy, optimizing operations, and driving profitable growth while strengthening brand equity. The role requires a commercially minded leader who can balance strategic vision with operational execution, and who has a proven ability to lead teams through scale and transformation in consumer-driven industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Expand into new markets, strengthen omnichannel presence, and drive category diversification.
- Operational Excellence: Optimize supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution to improve cost structure and scalability.
- Brand & Commercial Leadership: Build brand equity and expand customer reach through retail, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer strategies.
- Talent & Culture: Recruit, develop, and inspire a world-class leadership team; foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance.
- Financial Management: Oversee full P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning to deliver strong returns and margin improvement.
- M&A & Integration: Lead evaluation and integration of acquisitions to broaden product portfolio and geographic footprint.
- Board & Investor Relations: Partner closely with the private equity sponsor and Board to align on strategy and report on value creation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven success as a CEO, President, or senior executive in consumer products, retail, or related industries.
- Experience leading businesses with revenues of $200M–$500M, ideally in PE-backed environments.
- Demonstrated ability to drive top-line growth while enhancing profitability and operational efficiency.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in omnichannel and go-to-market strategies.
- Track record of building high-performing teams and scaling organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
