Position Overview
The Vice President of Operations will oversee the organization's ongoing operations and procedures, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. The VP will be responsible for the development of operational strategies, implementing business plans, and driving performance improvements across all departments, while maintaining compliance and managing risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee daily operations and ensure that the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximize profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and staff to enhance performance and career development.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the executive team on business development initiatives and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, and manage risk effectively.
- Enhance supply chain and operational processes through continuous improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and align operational strategies with organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a senior operational role, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Demonstrated expertise in operations management and performance improvement.
- Proficient in risk management strategies and compliance regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong project management skills and experience driving change initiatives.
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
