Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader with a passion for driving operational excellence in aerospace production? We’re looking for a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead high-mix, build-to-order manufacturing operations. This role is central to advancing our quality, cost, and delivery objectives through smart process design, lean initiatives, and team development.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians in developing and supporting manufacturing processes
- Standardize processes for complex aerospace components (e.g., heat exchangers)
- Design tooling and fixtures to improve workflow and production efficiency
- Champion continuous improvement through LEAN, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
- Drive Operational Excellence projects and present updates to senior leadership
- Monitor performance metrics and implement quality and productivity improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Support operations at a secondary manufacturing site in Reynosa, Mexico
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, with staff management responsibilities
- Background in build-to-order, medium-volume/high-mix manufacturing
- Aerospace or defense industry experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with welding, brazing, assembly, and machining processes
- Proficiency in MRP systems (Oracle preferred); Microsoft Office suite
- Spanish language skills a plus
