Vice President of Operations

Role Description
This role will report directly to the COO. This organizational leader will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of assembled coating equipment, delivering excellent customer experience, meeting product quality, and ensuring a safe work environment. The VP Operations is also responsible for budgeting and profitability of the operations team. As part of the leadership team, this individual will work collaboratively with sales, engineering, service and coating research and strategy teams. An ideal candidate will have experience growing complex coating equipment assembly lines and developing quality programs. Preferred industry experience includes semiconductor equipment assembly businesses.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Ensure a strong safety culture
- Grow, lead, train and manage the operations team, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics processes. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of product quality and reliability and integrating semiconductor industry quality standards.
- Own a continuous improvement program based on lean Six Sigma principles. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for tool assembly activities and inventory, ensuring alignment with sales and strategic goals.
- Manage the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components. Maintain appropriate parts inventory to ensure on time delivery of equipment to customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners. - Manage facility shipping and receiving. Optimize logistics and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Communicate and collaborate with other department leads to align on goals, exchange progress reports, and solve existing and future bottlenecks.
Required Education And Experience
- 4 year degree in technical, business or financial area of study (required)
- >10 years of operations experience in industrial and commercial equipment (required)
- Masters in business administration or relevant technical management (required)
- Black belt or master black belt certification in lean six sigma or equivalent program
- Hands-on experience with managing industrial equipment assembly and inventory managment
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and goal oriented with a strong success mindset.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Experience supplying semiconductor industry (strongly preferred)
- Experience in industrial coating equipment (eg ALD, CVD, PVD, etc)
- Demonstration with building and growing equipment assembly processes
- Demonstration of meeting year over year improvement targets across, cost, quality, production efficiency and lead time
- Experience with EHS standards and reporting
- Nurtures a collaborative, proactive culture
Work Environment
The majority of work is on-site at our headquarters in Thornton CO.
Work will be predominantly in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be around or handling hazardous chemicals, and powders at times. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, respirator and may require to wear a hard hat. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required.

Travel
Travel to customer sites to support sales development and equipment installations will be required. The majority of travel will be within North America, but international travel may be required. A valid passport will be necessary.
Compensation/Benefits
- 100K – 175K Depending on qualifications
