Ready to lead a high-volume manufacturing operation? Our confidential client, a well-established manufacturer of perishable food items, is seeking a Head of Operations oversee a production facility in the Orlando area. This is a high-impact role with full P&L ownership, responsible for driving operational excellence, product quality, and customer satisfaction while leading a diverse, cross-functional team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead all aspects of facility operations, ensuring on-time delivery and consistently high-quality products
- Develop and mentor a cross-functional leadership team, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture
- Oversee production, procurement, warehouse, and sales functions to ensure alignment and efficiency
- Drive profitability through operational efficiencies, strategic capital investments, and KPI management
- Champion employee engagement, retention, and a strong safety and quality culture
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging ERP systems and operational metrics
Requirements:
- 7+ years in a senior operations or plant leadership role within food manufacturing (fresh produce or perishable goods strongly preferred)
- Proven success managing large teams in a fast-paced, high-SKU manufacturing environment
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L responsibility
- Experience leading both automated and manual production operations
- Track record of success in turnaround, growth, or expansion environments
- Hands-on, floor-engaged leadership style with strong people management skills
